BACKGROUND
We are about to commence our 2011 trip to Singapore, Cambodia and Laos. Everything has been booked, nothing left to chance or whatever. Singapore Airlines will take us to Singapore where we will spend a few days with some locals, Lyn and Thor. Friends, former neighbours and ex punters from Top Deck.
Lyn and Thor have been living as ex-pats in Singapore on their first fews months of an expected stay of at least two years.
After a few days we fly with Silk Air to Phnom Penh in Cambodia. This will be our first of two visits to Cambodia, we will do the tourist thing in Phnom Penh (Cambodia's capital) Kampot (a small river town near the coast) and Kep and small coastal village. After 10 days we will fly from Phnom Penh to Vientaine in Laos with Lao Airlines where we will spend a few days before another flight with Lao Airline to Laung Prabang with a six day stay on the banks of the upper Mekong. Lao Airlines will take us back to Cambodia with 5 days at Siem Reap for some temples, we are told lots of temples. Finally Silk air will return us to Singapore for a few days R & R with Lyn and Thor.
